About me!
Hi, I'm Kate! I am blind entrepreneur and a college student. I LOVE DOGS. Anything that relates dogs in some way, I adore it. I enjoy dog training, dog photography, a simple walk with my guide dog, etc. I also enjoy hiking, listening to audiobooks, crafts, and spending time with family + friends.

WagALot opened in February of 2016.
Learn moreI started WagALot Pet Shop in 2016 and was inspired by my black lab, Brandy. I remember the day I told my mom I wanted to learn to sew so I could make Brandy her own bandanas. My Mom taught me that day and I made my first bandana. I was so excited about it. I could not believe I had made something so cute.
Since opening, I have added in bow ties and collars. They were not anything special. The longer I worked with my design, the more adjustments were made, and the quality of my products improved. I am fully confident in the quality of my products and hope that you and your pup will give them a try!
One of my favorite parts about owning a business is interacting with YOU, fellow dog Moms and Dads. Even if you don't have a WagALot product, say hello! I'd love to hear from you and see your pups in your their new accessories.

But you're blind?
You might be wondering how I could be sewing if I am blind? No worries! I was born with an eye condition that causes my vision to be super blurry. I generally tell others I see blurry color! I have no peripheral vision, cannot see detail, and have poor depth perception!
A few years in, I have invested in tools and machinery that allow me to rely on touch rather than on my limited sight. These items have been a game changer for me and my products.
Unfortunately, every now and then an error will be made. I'll be the first to admit that it happens, especially with limited vision. Whether that is an issue with a product you received or I accidentally send you the wrong order, I am always willing to work with my customers to make it right. However, the longer I have been open, the more I have learned to organize my orders in a way that the situations above are very unlikely.
